Ludwig Erhard Foundation

Foundation

The Ludwig Erhard Zentrum (LEZ) is sponsored by the Stiftung Ludwig-Erhard-Haus. The registered public foundation is based in Fürth and was established in 2013 to realize the Ludwig Erhard Zentrum (LEZ). The heart of the project is Ludwig Erhard’s birth house, which is located directly behind the Fürth city hall. A key goal of the foundation is to preserve this significant, historic location on a permanent basis, and to open new paths of research. The comprehensive transformation of the birth house, and its expansion by means of a newly constructed building directly opposite has created a unique center for documentation for Ludwig Erhard and his concept of the social market economy, featuring exhibitions, promoting research projects, and serving as a meeting place. The Federal Republic of Germany, Free State of Bavaria, and city of Fürth are essential funding bodies.
